A long flight means a longer stay
The usual stay in Istanbul is 5–7 days for breast augmentation or Lipo 360, 6–8 days for a BBL, 7–10 days for rhinoplasty, a tummy tuck or a mommy makeover, 8–10 days for a facelift and 9–12 days for a face and neck lift. Coming from North America, plan to stay the full recommended period: stitches, drains and swelling are checked before you fly, and you leave only when your surgeon has seen you and cleared you to travel.
Recovering before you fly
On the flight home, get up and walk regularly, drink water and wear your compression garment or stockings as instructed. After a BBL, your surgeon tells you how to sit and travel during the first weeks. Heavy lifting and sport wait until your surgeon allows them; desk work usually resumes after one to three weeks, depending on the operation.
Follow-up with your doctor at home
Tell your family doctor or primary care physician about your plans before you travel. You leave Istanbul with your reports in English, and follow-up continues by photos and video calls with the team. If you have a question or a concern at home, your coordinator is reachable on WhatsApp and helps share your records with your local doctor.
Combining procedures
