How the process works with Op. Dr. Fatih Kılıç

Your consultation with Op. Dr. Fatih Kılıç begins before you travel to Istanbul. The photographs and medical information you send to New City Clinic are reviewed by the physician, and you are told plainly which procedure is suitable, which is not, and why. This preliminary assessment is a medical opinion, not a sales conversation.

At the examination in Istanbul, measurements are taken, skin and tissue quality are assessed and your expectations are discussed in detail. The guiding principle in planning is a result that fits your proportions and looks natural; bigger, tighter or more is not always better. The pre-operative markings are drawn with you, and the position of scars is shown beforehand.

Several procedures can be performed in one session, but operating time and the number of procedures combined are limited for safety. Where necessary, surgery is divided into two stages. Smoking, your medication and existing health conditions are part of the plan, and surgery may be postponed to reduce risk.

Surgery takes place at a partner hospital licensed by the Turkish Ministry of Health, with an anaesthetist present. After discharge, check-ups continue in Istanbul; once you are home, photographs of your healing are passed to the physician through your New City Clinic coordinator.

Can more than one operation be done at the same time?

Often, yes; a tummy tuck and breast surgery can be planned together, for example. Total operating time is limited for safety, and procedures are staged where necessary.

I do not speak Turkish. How will I communicate with the physician?

New City Clinic provides an interpreter at examinations and check-ups, with support in English, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.

How does follow-up work once I am home?

Your coordinator asks for photographs at set intervals and passes them to the physician. The same channel is open for questions; in an emergency you should contact your local medical services.
